Where is your bus route?

Commencing 1 February 2010, AAExpress operates a 2-way bus route between Brisbane and Gold Coast Airport (98 km / 90 mins). Our bus operating times follow the flight times of AirAsia X at Gold Coast Airport, Coolangatta. Our bus schedule is set out in our website homepage and brochure.

Passengers who have booked for services on our Gold Coast Route prior to 1 February 2010 will still be serviced.

From 1 February 2010, AirAsia X operate 7 flights weekly in/out of Gold Coast Airport i.e. one flight everyday operating at the same arrival/departure times.

Where can I take your bus in Brisbane?

In Brisbane, you can board our bus at any of the following 4 stops:

3. Roma Street, Holiday Inn Corner of Roma St & Parkland BlvdBrisbane CBD, QLD 4000

How can I identify your buses?

Our buses are painted white and carry the signages of "AA Express" and/or "Murrays". However, we may use coaches by other operators from time to time

Where can I buy/book your bus tickets?

You need to buy or book your tickets in advance of your flight departure date. Online bookings must be made at least 48 hours before the departure time of your AirAsia X Flight or by phone (see contact information below).

Can I buy tickets on the bus?

No, we do not sell tickets on our buses. You must pre-book your tickets on our website or phone.

How do I pay for the purchase of my tickets?

When you purchase your tickets online, you can pay by credit cards. We accept VISA and MasterCard only.

Can I buy tickets for my family and friends at the same time?

Yes, you can purchase up to a maximum of 10 tickets online at any one time. If you make a group purchase, you will enjoy a 5% price discount subject to the condition that you and/or your guests must all travel on the same date.

If you like to purchase group tickets for more than 10 people or for guests travelling on different dates, please call us to make any special arrangements.

How do I find my bus stops in Brisbane?

Maps of our bus stop locations are shown on our website homepage and brochure. The ticket price is the same for all bus stops. You can choose to board or drop off from any of the stops. When you make an online booking, you will be asked to choose your stop. Our driver will then know where to pick or drop you off.

If you give us your mobile phone number in your contact information, our driver can contact you to assist in case of need.

Can I change the travel date of my bus ticket?

Yes, you can change your travel date if you have made an online booking. Log on to our website and click "View/Change Booking" Box and the system will guide you to make the change. A fee of AUD$5.00 is charged. Any change must be made at least 48 hours before the local departure time of your AirAsia X Flight. If you fail to do so or you do not show up on the travel date, your tickets will be cancelled. We do not give refunds for cancelled tickets.

If you have made a booking for your family or a group, you can only make a date change for the whole group. If you need to change the travel date for any one or more passengers in your group, please email or call us for assistance.

How much luggage can I take on the bus?

We allow two (2) suitcases up to a maximum of 25 kg each per passenger. Excess baggage will be carried subject to space availability. We reserve the right to charge a fee for any excess or bulky luggage (bicycles, surf boards, etc.). Golf clubs are carried free of charge.

What happens if I am delayed by Immigration and/or Customs at the Airport? How long can the bus wait at the Airport?

Our driver normally waits up to a maximum of 1 hour for all incoming passengers to clear checks by Immigration and Customs at Gold Coast Airport. For the convenience of all the passengers, we seek your cooperation to complete clearance checks as soon as possible. If you are detained at the airport for any reason, please call our driver immediately at 0429 300 009.

Do you provide wheelchair access on your bus?

Our coaches are not equipped with wheelchair access facilities. Therefore, we are unable to provide the service.

I use another airline that operates out of Gold Coast Airport. Can I use your service?

Our bus schedules are planned to serve passengers travelling AirAsia X. If you are using another airline, you are welcome to use our services provided our bus schedule suits your flight times. The ticket price is the same for all passengers. However, we will not accept any responsibility for any delay that may arise.
